My new Blog!

Friday, May 7th, 2010
I started blogging in January this year originally because I wanted to start learning html. I was using blogspot because it's easy to use and I wasn't sure how long I would continue blogging but 5 months later, I realized that I'll be doing this for a long time. At first, I didn't really have a theme so I talked about whatever came to mind, but I soon realized that all I wanted to talk about was food. I talked about recipes I came up with, recipes from my cook books and recipes I found online. After a lot of thought and consideration, I decided that I would settle on a theme so I decided that I would talk about Japanese food because not only is it my favorite type of food, but it's what I do best.

I've always loved cooking but I never thought about how I could share my love for cooking until I developed my interest in html and web design.

Here's to cooking Japanese!

Oh great. I haven't posted many dessert recipes but hopefully I'll be inspired. I have a sushi rice recipe http://umamitopia.com/blog/article_104.html posted on 8/18/2010, although I haven't gotten around to tamagoyaki yet.
